Madison Lee, Editor-in-Chief of The JerEcho
Madison Lee is a senior and the Editor-in-Chief of The JerEcho. For the past 3 years, Madison has been working to improve the quality of The JerEcho’s work. She trains the newsroom to adhere to journalistic standards and use advanced tools such as Adobe Premiere. In addition to school media, Madison has completed journalism courses at Northwestern Medill to hone her reporting skills outside of the classroom. Besides journalism, Madison loves to make art, go on walks, and spend time with family and friends. She looks forward to working with new members of The JerEcho and sharpening her multimedia skills this year. Ultimately, Madison hopes to spark a passion for journalism among students and see The JerEcho continue to evolve.
Janice Kwon, Senior Editor of Multimedia for The JerEcho
Janice Kwon is a senior who is the Senior Editor of Multimedia for The JerEcho. She has been with the organization for 4 years and is currently doing graphic design, editing, and writing for both The JerEcho and The JNN. Outside of the newsroom, Janice is interested in movies, shopping, and music. You can catch her in the city shopping on the Lower East Side with a drink in hand. This year, Janice looks forward to working in the newsroom and improving The JerEcho as best she can.
Vivienne Scharf, Director of Broadcast for The Jericho News Network (JNN)
Vivienne Scharf is a senior and the Director of Broadcast for the Jericho News Network. Throughout her time with The JerEcho, Vivienne has helped lead the broadcast program to success at several award ceremonies, earning awards including second- and third-place Best Anchor Duo, Best News Video, and second-place Best News Broadcast. Through The JerEcho, Vivienne has developed a passion for filming interviews, creating podcasts, and bringing her own creative spin to every project. Outside of journalism, she enjoys watching The Basement Yard, listening to Frank Sinatra and Mac Miller, and baking. In the future, Vivienne hopes to pursue a career as a screenwriter or film director. She is looking forward to another year of creating memorable content with The JerEcho and making the most of her final year in the newsroom.
Logan Fuller, Assistant Editor-in-Chief of The JerEcho
Logan Fuller is a junior at Jericho High School and is the Assistant Editor in Chief for The JerEcho. Logan has been with The JerEcho since her freshman year, and enjoys writing about sports. When Logan is not writing for The JerEcho, she spends her free time watching her favorite NFL team the Buffalo Bills, playing flag football, or hanging out with her friends. This year, Logan is looking forward to planning JerEcho meetings, helping to edit articles, and publishing many articles. In the future, Logan hopes to work in the sports industry or do something with journalism.
Achint Kaur, Lead Producer of Broadcast for The Jericho News Network (JNN)
Achint Kaur is a senior and the Lead Producer of Broadcast for The JNN. She has been a part of The JerEcho for three years and received the Wildcard Award at Hofstra for one of her segments on combating food insecurity in the community. Outside of the newsroom, Achint loves reading, puzzles, and spending time with her friends and family. She is also interested in psychology and loves to do research on different areas in science. This year, Achint is looking forward to creating new broadcasts, covering memorable moments from her senior year, and working with the rest of the JerEcho staff. In the future, Achint hopes to continue using journalism as a way to tell stories, connect with others, and explore the things she is curious about.
Emmy Libertoff, Supervising Broadcast Editor for The Jericho News Network (JNN)
Emmy Libertoff is a junior at Jericho High School, and is also the Supervising Broadcast Editor, as well as a co-lead anchor for the Jericho News Network. This is Emmy’s third year taking New Media, where she has developed a love for editing, anchoring, storytelling, and finding creative ways to share what is happening throughout the school community. Emmy loves the opportunities that this class brings her, such as taking field trips to Newsday, The New York Times, Barclays Center, Citi Field, and BASH! Emmy’s experience includes editing and anchoring JNN segments, writing articles, creating Instagram reels for The JerEcho, shooting media day content and sports footage, and designing gameday graphics. Her work has given her the chance to explore many sides of journalism, and being named a runner-up in the 2026 New York Times Student Podcast Contest further inspired her interest in media and storytelling. She is excited to continue experimenting with new ideas, improving her skills, and bringing her creativity to the newsroom this year.
Ethan Rubin, Short Form Media Director for The JerEcho & The Jericho News Network (JNN)
Ethan Rubin is a junior and the Short Form Media Director for The JerEcho/JNN. This is Ethan’s third year with the organization, which he joined because of his passion for writing and media. Outside of the newsroom, Ethan is interested in golfing, hanging with friends and family, and listening to music. This year, Ethan is looking forward to expanding his media profile and helping out with the organization’s social media. He is very excited for another amazing year with The JerEcho!
Eva Brown, Co-Director of Community Engagement for The JerEcho & The Jericho News Network (JNN)
Eva Brown is a senior and the Co-Director of Community Engagement for The JerEcho & JNN. Eva has been a part of The JerEcho for three years and enjoys editing segments for the JNN, as well as writing articles about community events, such as the Hall of Fame induction and snow days. Outside of the newsroom, you can catch Eva playing with her cat, acing on the volleyball court, and watching movies with her friends and family. This year, Eva is looking forward to writing about more community events.
Aleeza Gani, Co-Director of Community Engagement for The JerEcho & The Jericho News Network (JNN)
Aleeza Gani is a senior and the Co-Director of Community Engagement for The JerEcho & JNN. She has been a valuable member of The JerEcho for four years, and has previously served as the Editor-in-Chief of J-Mag. Outside of the newsroom, Aleeza is interested in fashion and singing, and can almost always be found hanging out in the city. She looks forward to writing articles and contributing to The JNN as much as she can this year!
Marcus Kranz, Co-Director of Sports Media for The JerEcho & The Jericho News Network (JNN)
Marcus Kranz is a senior. This is his third year with The JerEcho, and he is the Co-Director of Sports Media. Marcus enjoys spending time with family and friends and also likes watching sports. Marcus is a passionate sports fan, as he roots for the Mets and Buccaneers. Marcus wants to go to college for sports journalism. Furthermore, he does sports photography for the Jayhawks. He is excited to write his weekly football column and contribute to other articles, as well.
Austin Weiss, Co-Director of Sports Media for The JerEcho & The Jericho News Network (JNN)
Austin Weiss is a senior and the Co-Director of Sports Media for The JerEcho. He has been with the organization for 3 years and is currently a captain on the varsity football and lacrosse teams. Outside of the newsroom, Austin is interested in the New York Jets and the Miami Heat. You can catch him at any country or house music concert. He is looking forward to covering as many sports as possible in his final year at Jericho.
Heer Patel, Managing Anchor for The Jericho News Network (JNN)
Heer Patel is a senior who is also the Social Media Manager and Managing Anchor for The JerEcho and JNN. Heer has been with the organization for three years, and is currently a writer, reporter, and mentor to young anchors. Outside of the newsroom, Heer is interested in hanging out with her friends and going to the gym. You can catch her at a local sushi restaurant, enjoying her favorite food. Heer is looking forward to boosting The JerEcho’s social media and increasing student representation on the JNN Broadcast.
Charley Scharf, Head Copy Editor for The JerEcho
Charley Scharf is a junior and one of the Head Copy Editors for The JerEcho. She has been with the organization for 3 years, and she was initially inspired to join the journalism course because of her passion for writing and her interest in sharing different perspectives. Outside of the newsroom, she is interested in music, fashion, and spending time with her friends. You can catch Charley in the car or at the beach listening to her favorite artist, Lana Del Rey. This year, Charley is looking forward to writing more articles, gaining new perspectives, and further developing her understanding of journalism and storytelling.
Rachel Tchou, Head Copy Editor for The JerEcho
Rachel Tchou is a senior and one of the Head Copy Editors for The JerEcho. She has been with the organization for two years. Outside of the newsroom, she is very interested in music and animals. She has two cats. You can find her at her house…but please don’t. This year, Rachel is looking forward to contributing to the newsroom by writing about intriguing topics and by offering new ideas and perspectives to the community.
Sofia Boutsikos, Assistant Managing Producer of Broadcast for The Jericho News Network (JNN)
Sofia Boutsikos is a sophomore at Jericho High School and is Assistant Managing Producer of Broadcast for The JNN. She has been with The JerEcho since her freshman year, and her contributions include writing articles, editing packaged segments, and primarily anchoring and filming. Sofia was recently named a runner-up in the 2026 New York Times Podcast Competition, earning recognition for her work in storytelling and journalism. This accomplishment has further fueled her love for broadcast journalism, which she plans to study in college as she works toward a career in television and multimedia news.
Max Gershwind, Arts & Culture Editor for The JerEcho
Max Gershwind is a senior who is the Arts & Culture section editor. Outside of the newsroom, Max enjoys EDM and house music, and loves baseball and football–especially the New York Giants and New York Mets. You can catch Max at an EDM concert or at Citi Field and MetLife Stadium watching his favorite teams play. This year, Max is looking forward to continuing his Funny Foodie Reviews (last year, he was one of the most published writers for The JerEcho). In the newsroom, Max hopes to do more podcasts, just like his podcast called “Why EDM Music Makes Us Happy.”
Jordan Greenstein, Sports Editor for The JerEcho
Jordan Greenstein is a junior and the Sports Editor for The JerEcho. He has been with the organization for two years and is currently a podcaster, as well as writer for Courtside Chronicles, which he updates every week during basketball season. Outside of the newsroom, he is interested in possibly becoming a sports broadcaster. Jordan likes to watch basketball, baseball, and football, and his favorite sport is tennis. You can catch him at MetLife Stadium, watching a New York Giants Football Game.

Madi Zhou is a junior and the News Editor for The JerEcho. She has been with the organization for two years and is currently writing about current events and pop culture. Outside of the newsroom, Madi is interested in art, sports, and science. You can often catch her in the science hall, working on labs. This year, Madi is looking forward to getting more students at Jericho High School involved in writing, and writing more articles in order to keep The JerEcho’s loyal readers informed.
Devyn Siegel, Student Council Representative for The JerEcho
Devyn Siegel is a junior and is Student Council Representative for The JerEcho. This is her second year taking New Media, and she was initially inspired to join the journalism course because of her passion for anchoring, storytelling, and writing. Devyn created her own news segment where she introduces clubs to the public and discusses occurrences in the school community. Devyn enjoys spending time with friends & family, playing sports, drawing, and listening to music. As for Devyn’s junior year, she is looking forward to making good quality pieces, anchoring in more videos, and writing some more interesting articles.
Anthony Hirtzel, Equipment Manager for The JerEcho & The Jericho News Network (JNN)
Anthony Hirtzel is a senior and the Equipment Manager for The JerEcho and JNN. Anthony has been with the organization for four years now due to the strong passion he has for journalism and sports. Outside of the newsroom, Anthony enjoys hanging out with friends, working out, playing sports like baseball, and spending quality time with family. He also thoroughly loves reorganizing the equipment closet in room 262. You can most likely catch Anthony watching a sports game, working as a summer camp counselor, or kicking it with a friend. This year, Anthony is looking forward to continuing “Hawk Ones” and having a great last year not only at Jericho High School, but with The JerEcho as well.
Arib Ali, Photo Director for The JerEcho
Arib Ali is a senior and the Photo Director for The JerEcho. He has been with the organization for a year and is currently responsible for the photos that The JerEcho uses and takes. Outside of the newsroom, he is interested in football, Formula 1, and aviation. You can catch them at republic airport where he flies. This school year, Arib looks forward to sharpening his photo skills while helping The JerEcho have even better photos.
Annie Tian, Assistant Head Copy Editor for The JerEcho
Annie is a sophomore and the Assistant Head Copy Editor, as well as a writer for The JerEcho. She has been with the newspaper for two years, and originally joined due to her love of writing. This love extends further than just articles, and she equally enjoys other forms such as short stories and flash fiction. Annie’s favorite genre to both read and write is science fiction, and she is always open to book recommendations. Annie is looking forward to covering topics she is fascinated with and getting not only her voice, but also other students’ voices, out there.
Marianna Charalambous
Marianna Charalambous is a senior and this is her first year contributing to The JerEcho. Marianna is excited to contribute as a sports writer and gain experience in journalism. Outside of the classroom, Marianna enjoys playing soccer, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. You can usually catch her on the soccer field, eating every dessert, or hanging out with people closest to her. This year, Marianna is looking forward to improving her writing skills, exploring interesting topics, and writing stories that students and athletes will enjoy reading. She is especially excited to learn more about sports and journalism that connect with the school community.
Sydney Chen
Sydney Chen is a senior who is in her second year with The JerEcho. She enjoys connecting with the school community by creating news articles about retiring teachers and interviewing students during meaningful events. Outside of the newsroom, Sydney is passionate about dance and business. You can catch her in the dance room choreographing new dances for shows. She’s specifically looking forward to contributing to The JNN in new and unexplored areas and creating impactful articles that inform and connect students.

Alexa Fuller is a freshman writer for The JerEcho. This is Alexa’s first year with the organization, and she is currently a sports contributor. Outside of the newsroom, she is interested in playing soccer, playing flag football, and hanging out with friends. She is looking forward to contributing to the sports segments and having new opportunities.

Joanne Kwon is a senior and this is her first year contributing to The JerEcho. Outside of the newsroom, she is interested in fashion and art. You can find her drawing in her free time. She is looking forward to writing interesting articles and covering what’s going on in the school.
Jiabao Liu
Jiabao Liu is a junior and this is her first year as a contributor for The JerEcho. Jiabao enjoys researching and writing about topics that interest her. Outside of the newsroom, she enjoys watching movies, playing video games, and photography. She especially enjoys using photography as a way to capture interesting moments around her. This year, Jiabao is looking forward to becoming a stronger writer and contributing more meaningful stories to The JerEcho. She hopes to continue developing her journalism skills while finding new ways to tell stories that engage and connect with readers.
Marcus Lonshein
Marcus Lonshein is a junior contributor to The JerEcho. This is his first year as a member of The JerEcho, and he will be reporting on sports. Outside of the newsroom, Marcus can be found watching any sports game on TV, or running track with his friends.
Destyn Nyu
Destyn Nyu is a freshman contributor for The JerEcho. Destyn joined because of his interest in Fabrizio Romano and CBS’s Champions League Show. When he is not in his nine-to-five, he is watching football or soccer, or playing video games. He is looking forward to interviewing people, most likely in the sports world. He hopes he will leave a positive presence in The JerEcho.
Sophia Sacoulas
Sophia Sacoulas is a senior and this is her first year writing for The JerEcho. Outside of the newsroom, Sophia has served two years as the President of Jericho High School’s Thespian Honor Society. Sophia has been in all of Jericho High School’s plays and musicals since her freshman year. Having been her longtime passion, Sophia majors in Musical Theatre at BOCES program Long Island High School for the Arts, where she takes classes that specialize in acting, singing, dancing, and TV/film. Other than theatre, Sophia loves playing video games, hanging out with friends, and going on spontaneous adventures. Sophia is looking forward to anchoring with The JerEcho and being a part of the writing process.
Kartikeya Tirumalasetty
Kartikeya Tirumalasetty is a senior and this is his first year reporting on the news for The JerEcho. He has been with the organization for a grand total of 0 years, and is currently looking for a job here. Outside of the newsroom, Kartikeya is interested in video games, acting, Godzilla, and swimming. You can catch him at the school pool—when it eventually opens for public usage. Kartikeya is looking forward to anchoring for The JNN.
Crystal Wang
Crystal Wang is a junior and this is her first year contributing to The JerEcho. Outside of the newsroom, she is interested in lacrosse, working out, videography, cinematography, photography, and streaming. You can probably catch Crystal at the gym and in studio 119a. She is looking forward to doing fun and random interviews. Additionally, she is also looking forward to writing articles about interesting and fun things happening around the school!
Sienna Weiss
Sienna Weiss is a freshman and this is her first year contributing to The JerEcho. Outside of the newsroom, her interests are flag football and basketball. You could catch Sienna hanging out with friends or tanning at the pool. This year, she is looking forward to growing as a journalist and experiencing new opportunities as a student.
Bradley Willis
Bradley is a freshman and a new member of The JerEcho. He is an artist and looks forward to doing movie and game reviews. His hobbies consist of art, gaming, and hanging with friends, but his favorite hobby is drawing anime characters . He is a soon-to-be track athlete, so when spring rolls around, catch him running track.
Jennie Yu
Jennie Yu is a junior writer who is new to The JerEcho. Outside of the newsroom, Jennie is interested in creating art and photography. You can catch her in the art room and studios. She really wants to create some good news reports and interviews as the writers before her have.
Noah Zucker
Noah Zucker is a senior contributor for The JerEcho. He has been with the organization for two years and is currently a writer. Outside of the newsroom, Noah is interested in sports. You can catch him at his house, with his friends, or playing video games. This year, he is looking forward to being more involved in the program.
