Over the weekend, on Saturday afternoon, I was home doing nothing and craving some sugar, so I decided to order frozen yogurt from Yogurt and Such in Greenvale.
Yogurt & Such has been blowing up over the last couple of months, so I had to give it a try. They are known for their huge portions, where they just stack on toppings and frozen yogurt. I got the vanilla frozen yogurt with a mountain of Oreos on top. I got this flavor because I love vanilla a lot; it has always been my favorite, and my favorite topping has always been Oreos. After all, Oreo is just such a classic topping.
I know a lot of people say vanilla can tend to be boring, and I can agree it can be boring at times, but this vanilla was much different than your average vanilla. This vanilla was creamy, sweet, flavorful, and refreshing, all at once…perfect to satisfy a sweet tooth. The Oreos made it crunchy, crispy, and sweet at the same time, and it also made it taste like a cookies-and-cream frozen yogurt.
Overall, I would give Yogurt and Such a 9.4 out of 10.
It was so good due to the richness and creaminess of the vanilla yogurt, as well as the Oreos being crunchy and having the dark chocolate wafer with its sweet vanilla cream center. I don’t give anything a 10; a 10 for me would be the most perfect dessert ever, and nothing will ever be better than that, which is just not true.
I clearly understand, though, why the lines are out the door at Yogurt & Such and why it is a Long Island staple. So I am telling everyone that you must go to Yogurt and Such and get the vanilla with Oreos!
