On Friday, Sept. 25, the Sam Springer Gym was exploding with joy, excitement, and school spirit as students flooded in to celebrate Homecoming. The 2026 Pep Rally kicked off with spirited music from the band, followed by a performance of the national anthem by Noteworthy A Cappella. With the crowd pumped up and ready to cheer, the Fall sports teams began making their entrances.
One by one, the teams creatively entered the gym as the competition amongst teams began. Girls Soccer led the way, followed by Boys Soccer, Boys Badminton, Cross Country, Girls Swimming, Girls Tennis, Boys Volleyball, Girls Volleyball, the Jayettes, and, finally, Football. As each team made their way into the gym, the excitement continued to build amongst the crowd. Students cheered on their classmates, athletes cheered on one another, and everyone showed lots of school spirit. Cross Country’s Mario Kart-themed entrance came in first place, and Boys Volleyball’s bowling-themed entrance came in second, leaving third place to Girls Swimming and their creative aquatic-themed entrance.
After entrances, the Pep Rally games began with musical chairs. Every team sent in competitors, with Girls Tennis, Football, and Boys Volleyball making it to the final three. After a heated contest, Boys Volleyball ultimately took the win.
Next came hopping rock paper scissors, with all teams competing once again. After a long, competitive battle, Boys Badminton and Girls Volleyball came out on top.
For the final game, all teams sent out one person to compete in a noodle battle, with Boys Soccer claiming the victory. After all the points were tallied up, Girls Volleyball finished in third place, Boys Soccer in second, and Boys Volleyball in first place overall. Although the teams competed against one another, the pep rally brought everyone together through school spirit and excitement, leading to a fun and joyous Homecoming weekend.
