A Leader for our Students: Welcoming Jericho’s New Superintendent of Schools

The Jericho community is excited to welcome a new leader of the nest in our Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Robert L. Kravitz. After a rigorous nationwide search, Dr. Kravitz was selected from the top candidates to lead the Jericho community toward continued greatness. 

Dr. Kravitz has a diverse educational background, having studied within the fields of not only education, but also business management and administration, accounting, law, and music. From being a business owner in the culinary field, to an author, to an educator and administrator, Dr. Kravitz has done it all with great success and impact. 

Dr. Kravitz stated that here at Jericho, his goal is not only to continue a legacy of excellence, but also to aid in supporting student wellness while providing students the opportunity to have a voice in school matters. Dr. Kravitz wants Jericho’s students to thrive, not only academically, but also in their ability to enjoy life to the fullest. Dr. Kravitz said, “We want every child to have opportunities. There’s a lot of stress in the world. We want to reduce that stress.” 

Dr. Kravitz is optimistic about the future of Jericho and is looking forward to improving our community. It’s clear that his commitment to Jericho’s students will foster an environment that helps students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
