Funny Foodies Restaurant Review with Max: Levain Bakery
MAXWELL GERSHWIND ’27
Sadly, Austin and I didn’t get to go to lunch together this weekend, but since I was in the Hamptons, I had a chance to visit Levain Bakery. Levain Bakery is one of the most famous bakeries in the world, and with good reason…what better spot to review for our column?
Infamous for their thick chocolate chip cookies, Levain is a bakery with numerous locations in New York City, a location in the Hamptons, and another location in Los Angeles.
Levain’s cookies are gooey, warm, buttery, and rich, all at the same time…like legitimately everything you could ever want in a cookie. I also had Carvel ice cream in the fridge, so you know I had to dip the cookies in it, which made the entire experience 1,000 times better.
When I took my first bite, I genuinely almost cried because it was so good.
Overall, I am giving the cookie with ice cream a 9.6, which is a ridiculous score. By itself, I would give the cookie it a 9.2, which is also an impressive score.
Overall, I would highly recommend Levain Bakery. It’s a place where you would drive 1-2 hours just to get the cookie and absolutely would not regret it.
